Starting to get kinda Spooky...

I mean because Halloween is tomorrow! It is also kind of scary to think that this project is coming close to the end. I have done so many different things it is hard to describe. Some major milestones are that I have the air conditioning installed, hoses crimped and tight, radiator and fan in and functional, wiring is in and halfway hooked up, the park brake cable and handle is in and adjusted, and last but not least the engine runs and has great oil pressure. Have a good Halloween and enjoy these photos..as always the videos are on YouTube.

This that and the other.

I have been working on about everything you can imagine, from engine work to fuel and brake lines. The air conditioner is the main issue right now as the bracketry does not allow enough clearance to install the radiator. Old air products is sending me two new brackets on Wednesday to see if that helps, I may have to design my own idler pulley set up but we will have to see. I got the top loader four speed stuck in and the Hurst super competition shifter linked and adjusted. Too much to write about but if you go to YouTube and search andy67stang you can see more, and here are some pictures to look at. Andy

AcoustiShield Install

Hey all, I have been working hard on the car lately putting every little thing together. One thing in particular that I have done is installed the acoustishield sound deaden er material. This is a kit that we bought specifically designed for the 67 mustang, It makes the car much more quiet inside and also keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The kit takes a long time to install because their is several steps and EVERYTHING is covered with it. First of all you apply the Dyna mat strips that deaden vibration, and then you glue on the acoustishield matting over the top of it. Some other stuff I have done include hanging the pedals in the car, brake master cylinder and booster, wiper arms and motor, and I also have the air conditioner and heater box mounted on the firewall. The condenser and radiator are in, the A/C compressor is mounted up on the engine with some modifications! Turned out that they welded the mount bracket wrong for the A/C so I had to cut it and re weld it. After about a half a day I got all the brackets fitting and the belts lined up perfect, now all I have to do is put one more belt on and install the clutch fan and shroud. As soon as I get the air conditioner lines all ran and completed I am going to move on to wiring the car....fun fun fun. Once again their are videos posted up on youtube.com

TIGHT SQUEEZE!

Today we re-cleared the car because of a problem we had with fish eye. Somehow or another we had a contaminant in the booth and it caused a reaction with the clear coat on the car. We re-sanded the whole car and shot it this morning and is looks way better.

After the clear set up I decided to put the engine in...not as easy as I thought. I knew that the headers were going to be a tight fit but not that tight. I fought and cursed all afternoon only to have to remove the thing to trim away some of the Lakewood bell housing to make way for the headers. You can notice in a couple of the pictures were I trimmed of some steel to help clear the headers under the car. Tomorrow is a new day and I will attempt to put it in then, for now I am hitting the hay and forgetting about it. Later, Andy
