Got some more trophies!

It has been a long time since I blogged, I almost forgot what it was all about. Lots of things have changed since the last posting. I believe we were still living in Texas the last time I wrote, ya well we are in Nebraska now. Joy and I moved up to the big NE and to make a really long story short bought a house and remodeled it. Finally we are settled in and doing great in cozy Fairfield,NE. Dave ended up bringing the Mustang up to Nebraska and we have taken it to a few car shows, the most recent being the midwests Last Fling Till Spring show in West Point,Nebraska. This show rocked, Dennis Gage from the TV show My Classic Car was in attendance and the little town was just jam packed full of really cool cars of all makes and models. We ended up winning our class which was the 1967 car class...and then also we pulled in a whopping 5 foot Monster trophy which was a sponser trophy, so this particular sponsor liked our car out of all 700 cars!!!! I think they gave out about 15 of those bad boys so we did really well.

A couple other notable shows we went to were, St. Paul, Nebraska and the Lincoln, Nebraska shows. St. Paul was a really awesome show! The royal coachman car club puts it on and they do fantastic. Lots of great rides showed up and the park setting is really nice as well. We accidentally entered into the 1964 thru 1973 class instead of the mustang class but still ended up getting first runner up...but the winning didnt stop their! We recieved a $100 dollar check for driving the furthest to the show, and then they announced the big daddy! PEOPLES CHOICE! and you know the people are unbiased. WE WON THAT AS WELL!!! Dave and I were flying high, that really meant alot because the people voted on it.

The Lincoln car show was kind of boring, and HOT! They have it on the asphalt parking lot at Anderson Ford, no shade. Anyways the cars were ok, and I met some really cool people. We also won first place at this show.

SO not trying to toot my own horn but for a first time resto like this the record is pretty good, 6 car shows, 8 awards and a 100 dollar check!! HOOOWAAA! Check in later for updated photos. Thanks, Andy

The phrase mustang power just seems to roll off many people's tongues and to the untrained mind that is okay but if you know your cars most Mustangs are anything but powerful. Don't get me wrong, the Mustangs look great and can be one of the most powerful every day cars on the road.
