Tri-City Street Rods car show

We recently had the car up to Grand Island NE for the tri city street rods car show. They had the event in the new event center that was built for the state fair and it was great. Lots of room in this building with great lighting, and a ton of classic iron. You could not get away with shoddy body work in this flourescent lighted BRIGHT building, and the stang stood out in the crowd. I met lots of great people and even got to talk to some old timers about my late grandfathers racing career! I really love the car shows that you go and the people really know and appreciate what they are looking at. I will post some pictures of the show when I get them downloaded. At any rate this show lite a fire under my butt to get started on my next restoration project, my grandfathers old stock car from the 50's. It was a 32 plymouth that ran a 276 ci firedome hemi, with a cad lasalle tranmission behind it. Gordie Shuck was his name, and winning races was his game...he dominated in the early fifties. I want to share his racing legacy with others by restoring the old car to her racing day stature. STAY TUNED FOR MY NEW BLOG ON THE RACE CAR PROJECT!!!!

That's an unforgettable experience! Being with people who share the same passion is very enjoyable. Don't forget the pics - we'll be waiting for those! :)
